Hundreds of fans are in town for the big game against our New Orleans Saints. There might be thousands by tonight. Because they’re only a short flight or a few driving hours away, they think they can show up, steal our culture and win 20.

Oh, heck to the naw!

There is no NFL franchise, no NFL team, no NFL fans that Saints fans dislike more.

These Falcons fans are here because they love their miserable team — and because we have so much to offer.

Atlanta’s Busy Bee Cafe and Paschal’s are famous for their fried chicken, but the Dirty Birds better pull up and eat fried chicken at Dooky Chase’s, Lil’ Dizzy’s and Willie Mae’s.

They think they’ve got one of the best signature combos with Johnny’s World Famous Chicken & Waffles. We have some that can challenge Johnny’s, but they should taste our delicious blackened shrimp and grits at BSpot and HeardDat.

Y’all Dirty Birds ain’t got nothing on us.

How dare you think otherwise?

A few of them — okay, maybe a dozen or even scores — gathered in the French Quarter this weekend to taunt New Orleans and Saints fans. They sang, stepped and strutted as if they were doing a second line. Some of them even had handkerchiefs that they clearly didn’t know how to hold or wave. They were shouting “Rise Up,” and, likely, some premium-priced local band played Rebirth Brass Band’s Cassanova, a longtime second line favorite. But what was that we saw?

I have no idea what they were doing, dragging and shuffling their feet. Whatever it was, it definitely wasn’t a second line. Y’all need to take your Bankhead Bounce and Nae Nae dances on back to Atlanta after your butt whupping tonight.

There are other NFL teams with the colors black and red.

There’s only one NFL team with black and gold.

And there’s only one place where our people, our food, our music and our second lines are the real deal.
