A woman was shot and killed overnight at a Hammond gas station on Highway 190 by two suspects who appeared to be using AR-15 style pistols, the

Officers responded around 1:15 a.m. Thursday to reports of gunfire in the parking lot of a Chevron gas station at 3123 Highway 190 West. Police found a woman who had been shot multiple times.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead on scene.

Officials said security camera footage showed the victim sitting inside a grey sedan parked at the gas pump when another car pulled up and parked nearby. Two suspects wearing dark clothing are then seen getting out of the neighboring car “armed with what appeared to be AR-style pistols,” police said.

The suspects began shooting at the rear passenger side of the gray sedan before fleeing the scene, according to officials.
